We are looking to have a LOW BUDGET wedding within the next year or two in the MA, RI. or NH area. Colt State Park is beautiful but, no alcohol is allowed. My fiance and I don't drink but our families/friends do. We're a layed back couple and would like to have at least a partially outdoor wedding with an area to set up a volleyball net as we are avid players. Would like an attractive location for a classic onsite ceremony with a casual barbe-q style reception following. I don't mind handling food/decorations/flowers, etc. But need a site! Would even be interested in renting a private cottage or house on a beach or with a pool for the week so my fiance and I could just stay there for the honeymoon! Does anyone know of any locations for a wedding such as this?

Chattam on Cape Cod. Youc an rent a beach house and obtain a permit from the city to have a beach wedding ceremony and they allow a toast. You will still have to share the beach with other people, so if you would like privacy I suggest a early morning or a sunset ceremony.

Reply:Have you thought about Odiorne point in NH. I catered a wedding there a few years ago on the beach itself and it was absolutely beautiful. I believe they allow alcohol, but you could call and ask. Here's their number: 603-436-7406. I'm not sure about pricing, but maybe that will help you get started, GOOD LUCK!!
