It is going to be on the water, the end of june
not really on the beach, like you have to walk down a few stairs to actually get to the sand.
colors i am still deciding on.
-What flowers should i have? beachy flowers?
-I am trying to find a good picture of a beachy or sand castle wedding cake.
-I am still stuck on favors.
-and i dont know what to make my centerpieces.
-invitations, i cant find any cute enough? any ideas?
-Should i have it at sunset, so its romantic, and the reception after or should i have the ceremony in the day time, reception by sunset?
(the reception and the actual ceremoney are gonig to be at the same spot i am thinking)
UGH! help ?
So i am pretty much having yahoo naswers plan my wedding...?

Reply:First, take a deep breath! Ok?....think of what you want your wedding to be..formal or semicasual or casual....sounds like you have a beach theme already, so base your centerpieces, color scheme, and favors from this. And dont do the typical two tone wedding, pick a third color so everything doesnt blend together. For example : cream, baby blue, and sapphire blue.
Flowers...choose something simple-your the center of attention, not the flowers!
Favors...give miniture pictures of you and your fiance together, or cds of your favorite music, or your favorite candies...or chocolates shaped like sea shells. Keep it simple!
Centerpieces...simple is always best, specially with a beach style wedding. And dont make them huge so that your guests cannot see each other across the table! BIG mistake! Maybe bowls filled with sand and a small scented candle with flowers around it???
Make your own invitations!...Have your bridesmaids help or do on your own, then you can make them the way you want to. You can get kits at your local craft store. ( I made my own, and some of my family members have it framed!)
Sunset?? Thats up to you...just remember photos at sunset of the ceremony? Have a professional for that, otherwise they may not come out.
Just remember to have fun, and dont stress! Dont be one of those B@#$hy brides that everyone hates, you only have this day once so enjoy it!
Reply:I'm just going to have quick and easy flowers bought from the grocery store the morning of the wedding.
I'm going to see if I can find a way to show you the picture of the sandcatsle wedding cake we're using...

For favors I bought a lot of salt water taffy and some little paper bags
I found some simple and cute invites at Michael's.
I would think the ceremony could be right before sunset so you can have your pics at sunset and party at night!
I think having the ceremony and reception in one place is a good idea, thats what Im doing!
Reply:For the favors, I recommend none at all. They are an unnecessary expense for something most people just toss. I much better (and more beneficial) option is to have a small card at each place (or a small table-tent sign on each table) that says, "In lieu of favors, a donation has been made to the American Cancer Society." (Donate to a charity that means something to you and your fiance.)
Are you really going to have your reception (with food and everything) out on the sand? It doesn't sound very practical.
Reply:Hi and congratulations!
Lots and lots of decisions! Here is a great site with so many options....lots of links for cake, centerpieces, invites, all of it!

My ideas:
~ Colors: teal like this color:

Any kind of blue would look nice too:

Or...something bright! This reminds me of the sun going down:

~ I love the idea of the wedding at sunset and the reception after!
~ Centerpieces: I love the simplicity of a round bowl....layer various colors of "sand" (available at craft stores) and then push down a votive candle in the middle.
I hope you get some ideas with the site I gave you. Good luck!
Reply:I think that is good that you are relying on others all over the world to help you with your wedding, however, you probably will do better by enlisting the help of a wedding planner in your area to help you with the details of your day.
Another good source to gather pictures and ideas that surround your colors and/or theme is http://www.theknot.com. This site has almost everything a bride may need to guide her along during the planning process.
Also, there are other brides that could've asked the same questions that you are pondering--at the top of Yahoo Answers is the discover tab that you can use to find answers to questions that have already been asked or just type your question in the search box. This may also help you.
Hope this helps. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Reply:Get a wedding planner. We are happy to help but we aren't going to do all the work for you.
Reply:Go to http://talk.theknot.com and click 'destination weddings'. Even if you aren't going away, they have a ton of beachy ideas.
http://www.cakecentral.com has a ton of beachy cake ideas in the themes section of the gallery, not the wedding section. Also check out http://www.cinderellacakes.com or http://jacquespastries.com/2005/wed%2012...
You may be able to find something here that interests you:

A great beachy centerpiece idea is to get tall vases at Walmart or Joann's (make sure they have bottoms). Fill them about 2-3" with sand, stick an unscented pillar candle in the center, and place a few seashells, sand dollars, starfish around the candle inside the vase. Less is more so don't make it look cluttered.
For favors, you could make chocolate seashells. They are very simple to make and the supplies are not expensive. Or you could make cds with your favorite beachy/summer songs.
