i want an outside wedding.. but it will be in august. (which is really hot and humid here) does anybody know how much those outside tents cost... it would be for the reception with about 100 ppl. and how much for air conditioning with the tent?
one other question... how do i decide who will be the ring bearer.. and the flower girl???
i have two nephews who can do it and two nieces who could do it... i don't want too many little kids walking down the aisle b/c that could get crazy.... should i just allow all of them and hope for the best? the wedding would be next year so then the the two nephews would be 3 years old and the nieces would be 1 and a half and two...
Wedding tents?
Hi. The tent rentals will depend on where you live. Check your local yellow pages for a rental place and call them! That is all you can do. I could quote you one from where I live, but I live in a rural area where things are a bit cheaper. Also, I don't know about the air conditioning. Do they do that? I have never seen an outdoor tent with air conditioning. I would think that would be very pricey....but, again, simply call up your local rental center to inquire.
You might be better off looking for an indoor venue that has air conditioning....I don't know.
It's totally up to you about the flower girls and ring bearers. To be honest, I think anyone under the age of 4 or 5 is awfully young. You just never know the mood they will be in and if they will want to walk down. It's really anyone's guess. The nieces at 1-1/2 %26amp; 2 are way too young (in my opinion) as are the 3 year old nephews. Remember, you don't HAVE to have a flower girl and ring bearer....it's not mandatory.
But, again, your wedding....your decision! Just don't be disappointed if all of them refuse to walk down the aisle!
Reply:What's the point of an 'outside wedding' when you are having air conditioned tents? Thats got to get pricey - you would probably save a bundle by having the reception indoors somewhere. Plus less chance of bugs!
1.5 and 2 are a bit young for the flower girls. 3 is really on the cusp of just being old enough to handle the rings. If you want a ring bearer and/or flower girl - - have all 4 kids (their ages are close enough). But due to their very young ages, I'd really recommend you don't have them in the wedding.
Reply:My mom had two flower girls and it was nice, but one was a around 8 or 9 and the other was 3 so the older was able to coach the younger one along. At how young the kids are, it might be chaos trying to have them in the wedding. You could always have them wear cute matching outfits for picture purposes, but not have them in the wedding.
Reply:pick one its nice to have both but ive seen that to in weddings and the kids get out of hand ...
Reply:The tent in most cases will be atleast 2 grand for set up and take down if its a nice tent you`ll have to have sides for it if you want it cool however airconditioning for an outside wedding pry isn`t going to be able to happen. enless you want to take out a small loan. The ring bearer and flower girl should be old enough to walk down the isle by them selfs and not go into crying and running rampid. I would choose someone atleast 4 years old and you do not have to have both of them or you could have both your nephews with a girl that is a bit older around 8 or 10 or so. that way she can direct them.. however to have a 1 1/2 and 2 year old as the flower girls are a little much to hope for. At that age they are still a bit wobbly and need of their mother specially when encounterd with large amounts of people looking at them It was hard enough for a 5 year old to do that. Good luck with that issue it seems to be one of the hardest. If their mother is in the Bridal party or have her in the bridal party and have her walk with them down the isle that might help out a lot and than the could sit down in the 1st pew and color or something of that nature. they will not be able to stand up their with you.. and Take pictures quicly with them in it. I suggest you write down what pictures you want and who in which ones because toddlers do not like to sit still specially when alot of people are around and other ones are there to play with. Good LUCK and Congrats.
Reply:Playng a wedding outdoors in August is a beautiful time of the year because the colors are changing to Autumn. In considering on whether to use a tent for your wedding is based on (2) factors: Will the tent be used only as a canopy for the ceremony? Will the tent be used for an inclusive setting, meaning the ceremony and the reception will be held under the tent. To determine the price for the size tent you need is the fact that you have 100 people you desire to invite. But if that is your entire number of people that you would be sending out an invitation too...realistically you will not have 100 guest. Due to travel, age, location, etc.., that decreases the number of invited guest. So, say realistically, you only have 75 guest, strictly for the cermony you could look at investing $800-$1,000. for a tent. If you plan on using it for the ceremony/reception you need a much larger tent that would likewise include possibly a floating dance floor. That would be tiles layed out for your designated dance area. Now you are looking at $2,000-$4,000.00 for set-up and rental.
In reference to your questions about the children in the wedding. Please consider the ages of the children, it is always suggested that the children should be age 5 as the youngest to play a vital role in your wedding. Children can be very tempermental and depends on the mood they start off the day with, as to how the day would be for you and your wedding. If they are younger than 5, you need to designate a mature older child to escort the younger child as a guide to follow through with their role as ring bearer or flower girl.
Best wishes on your upcoming wedding, next year.
