If you're not married yet, just describe what I ask in the way you imagine it happen...
The way he proposed to you(or you to him)...
What were the colors?
What songs were played?
What were the decorations? Flowers? What kind?
What was the reception like?
Describe to me your wedding, or your future wedding....?

Reply:The way he proposed to you(or you to him)
--I'd like to think that I feel so comfortable with him that the fact that we plan on getting married isn't too much of a transition, but if he were to propose, I would like him to ask for my dad's blessing first (because it would mean a lot to my dad) and then pretty much anything he did to propose (as long as he puts an effort into it) would fantastic. I also DO not want a fancy ring, something simple and silver.
What were the colors?
I would be in white of course, I think I would want my bridesmaide all in the same color, probably silver and blue.
What songs were played? Anything but the usual bridal march. Something romantic, but realistic. For the reception, I would want a swing band to play.
What were the decorations? Flowers? What kind? I would keep it real minimal, same as my dress. I would want to spend more on alcohol and food for the reception, that's where all the fun will be had.
What was the reception like? Live swing band, great food (probably some sort of buffet so everybody can get what they want easier), lots of alcohol, probably in a hotel so people can get as wasted as they want and have a place to stay. I will definitely change into comfortable shoes for the dancing, as I plan to do a lot of it. I will have a photographer take candid shots of everyone enjoying themselves. There will be a daddy/daughter song, a money tree song, etc. My wedding reception is definitely where more money will go and everyone will have a BLAST!
Reply:Where are all the cute 40-ish priesthood holders???? Oh, that's right, they all got their cookie-cutter blondes 20 years ago and are all hooked up for eternity.

5 minutes.
My son and best friend was there.
I wore a dress.
We went to work the same day.
Now mind you this is how I wanted it...so it was perfect to me.
And about 1.5 years later I woke up and realized what all those vows meant...that they did mean something!

It was a small wedding at the Presbyterian church I was raised in. My mother made my dress. I had flowers in my hair.
Tommy was so handsome and I was so happy.
We had already been living together so we spent the night in a hotel downtown and went home the next day.
