Does this sound like a good budget?
How many people is it for? I think your food might be low, and your entertainment and invitations might be a lil high. maybe 1000 for a dj and 200-300 for invitations?
Reply:It sounds great, but how many people are coming to the wedding and how many to the rehearsal dinner? As a newly wed, you can budget all you want, but until you have a set number of guests everything is subject to change.
Reply:honeymoon a little expensive!
photographer up it to $1800
flowers up to $800--for 5 BM%26amp;5groomsmen
hair / make up--if it's just you $100
but if you are paying bM's stick to $500
Entertainment----DJ's are approx $1,000
Invitations $360- http://www.ibkstationery.com
Rehearsal dinner----for 30 people=$450
Bach and Bachlorette party---BM's and groomsmen pay
Engagement party----can be eliminated -not many are
doing those anymore
Reply:it would all depend on how many peopel you are inviting and also you can but a lot of cost by doing some things yourself such as: wedding favors, decor...if you would purchase the decor yourself and decorate yourself you could save on the budget and be able to place the money elsewhere. also your honeymoon costs seems slightly high for a cabin rental most cabins even when they are deck out are not more then about $120 a night plus when you stay longer you get bigger discounts..
Reply:How big a wedding? How many guests? How many attendants? What is the charge for the reception site? The ceremony site? The mininster's fee?

Reply:reception food and drink costs seem low
wedding and reception entertainment seems a little high but not too much, depends on what you are getting
Reply:This sounds like a good start. My concern is that you aren't budgeting enough for food or flowers - - but this depends upon what you plan to serve and how many people.
I'm doing a full dinner for 175 and estimating about $10k.
Entertainment @ the reception - unless you are booking a band, a DJ will usually run $100 to $150 per hour, so for a 5-hour reception that would only come to $750.
And don't forget to factor in tips and gratuity for things.
Reply:How many people? Trust me, while its nice to have a budget it never works out this clean. IT also depends on where you are located and do you want alcohol. I think your food and photpgraphy are a little low but your entertainment and engagememnt party are a little high.
Reply:My wedding was $400 total, but if you have the money, do as you wish. No going into debt for the wedding. If there are things you can't afford before the wedding, you don't need them anyway. Going into debt, loans, credit cards, etc are a very bad way to start a marriage.
Reply:Personally, I would try to cut down on some of the other areas and have a catered reception. It just seems weird to me to have $500 invitations, $2000 on decor (ceremony+reception) + $500 on flowers, etc and have the meal come from Sam's Club.
Also, do you need to rent tables/chairs/linen/cutlery if you're having it on your grandmother's farm?
Finally I don't see a wedding cake on there, gifts for the bridesmaids and grooomsmen, etc. Try http://theknot.com for a complete budgeting tool. You have to create an account, but it's free.
Good luck!
Reply:Dont forget to pay for the venue where the wedding/reception will be held....that is pretty costly usually and needs to be considered, good luck!
Reply:Do you need to include the cost of the rings and/or officiant? Parent gifts or gifts for attendants(if any)?
Reply:For a guests list of over 150, this seems a little low, unless you are willing to do a lot of negotiating! You can absolutely do it, but just make sure you really know where every single penny is going.
Reply:I guess, if you have the money. For me, some of those seem a little high. (inviations)
