My sister is having a halloween wedding, does my daughter wear costume or dress?

My sister is having a halloween wedding this year, shes goth, and she has said my daughter can wear a costume or a dress...i think a dress for the wedding is fine and costume for the reception would be nice. My daughter is going to be 2 years old by then, is that a good idea or just stick with a dress and forget about costumes? ...im 19 a young teen mom and my sister is 20 years old and a young teen mom too...our daughters are months apart in age and will be flower girls, help me decide what i should do, please?

She can wear a black or purple velvet cloak over her dress at the wedding, then take it off for the reception. They are very easy to make and velvet for two little girls would not cost much at all. You could line them with a matching satin.
Reply:See if you can convince your daughter to go as a princess. That way as a costume or as a dress, it will be appropriate.



BTW, at 2 years old, even if she went as the HULK, everyone would think she's cute. But TRY not to steal your sister's thunder, eh?
Reply:I think sticking with the dress for the wedding service and the costume for the reception were she will want to dance and show off a little sounds like a great idea. Maybe the dress should not be very girly, you know, just to fit in a little bit with the theme.
Reply:the dress is appropriate and she should start learning that now. She can do the costume sometime separate from the weding. Wearing a costume at all to any part of the wedding or reception will only be confusing to her.
Reply:have your sis pick out matching dresses for the flowergirls and let them pick costumes for the reception (I suggest nothing with wings as after a while they get annoying to everybody)



do a search on yahoo to find cute goth dresses in your daughter's size or you sis could also talk to the place that she is getting her dress about where to find dresses for her flower girls
Reply:if your daughter and your sister's daughter are both going to be flower girls then I would dress them (closeto) matching... Like if your niece wearing a traditonial dress, then dress your daughter in an identical (or close to it, same color, etc) one... If she's dressing her in a costume, dress your daughter in a costume... I think it would be cute either way.. Hope I helped! =) fyi: I think a costume would match the wedding better!

Reply:i think dress to the wedding and costume is a cute idea or even make her like a princessy dress and she can wear just the dress part to the wedding and then a tiara and some jewlery to the reception...
