Im trying to figure out a cost of the wedding and what are the things that add up.?
2 limos - usually rented by the hour and then extra for miles to travel to your location from their business. I say at least 100 an hour or so.
professional photographer - what will be the cost for about 5 hours on average be? a few thousand, add more for prints
How much on average will a wedding dress be if I buy one? up to a thousand, depending on store and designer. Add another 300-400 for alterations
How much will flowers be for me and the bridesmaids to hold? usually about 100 for yours and 65-80 for the bridesmaids. Don't forget boutonnieres for the men, corsages for mothers and grandmothers. Those are usually 15 or so. It also depends on your type of flower and availability.
How much will hair and make-up for the bride cost? Hair can be from 100-300 depends on what type of salon you go to. Make up for me was 50.
How much do invitations cost? I made my own and ended up spending more in stamps than the actual invitations cost. Less than a hundred, but if you order them I think it would be 100-200.
Is there anything else I have forgotten that is a major thing?
What about food? Your Cake?
The cost of the church rental? If you are going to have an organist or play music when you are walking down the isle? Either way, you either have to hire someone to do the church's sound system or hire the organist.
Reply:Hi. Sorry I can't help you. I have NO IDEA what prices are like in Sydney. Here in the U.S., for everything you want....it can vary widely! I would think Sydney would be expensive.
The best thing to do is cost compare EVERYTHING! Here in the states we can go to discount stores and craft stores for invitations, etc. I would think you would have the same thing in Sydney. If so....take advantage of it!
The most expensive thing is the reception! Just start calling around and getting prices. Call your regular hair stylist and get a price....call a few others. Call various florists. Make an appointment and see what they can give you with your budget. Same for the dresses. Shop, shop, shop and compare!

Reply:Music, food and alcohol for reception. This is what most of a wedding budget is spent on (25,000 is average cost of a wedding, and 12,000-18,000 of that are for the reception).
A dress's price really depends on where you buy it. A sale gown from David's bridal can be $99, a boutique dress can be $3,000-5,000+. Don't forget to factor in a veil, shoes, alterations, etc.
Reply:On the average I think that weddings are running between $25,000 %26amp; $50,000. Budget is the best way to go. You might wanna think about a wedding planner. Sometime they have connections with pro photographers and other pros.
Reply:ok well it all depends which venue it is.. for example.. we had our wedding booked at a place that came to $165 per person.. but they screwed us so we had to find another hall.. well the second one ended up being $271 per person.. so it really depends... as for the photographer.. mine is costing $7,000 but thats the highest package they have... my videographer/dj combined is $10,000.. they work together.. as for the wedding dress my mom gave me a budget of $3,500 but i got lucky and found one that i absolutely loved on sale at davids bridal for only $700! centerpieces run anywhere from $150 to $800... not sure about bouquets yet though... didnt do them yet.. hair and makeup together should be under $200.. and invitations im not sure about either cuz my mom took care of those.. o and limos.. well im having 3 stretch hummers that fit 24 people in them each and it comes to about $4,000... so 2 normal limos im sure wont be too much.. how about the favors.. depending on what you pick.. mine are $13 each but usually people spend about $5 to $7... and the place cards %26amp; holders.. not sure yet.. your vail and head piece.. mine were $200 total.. shoes.. i got lucky and got the cutest shoes at deb for only $20... attendant gifts.. usually people spend about $50 for each attendant.. your garter.. ring bearer pillows and flower girl baskets if needed... all those for me were only $200... the cake... not sure cuz my venue supplies one but im just paying $300 to upgrade it to fondant icing... i guess those are all neccessities.. shouldnt be too much for you.. we're inviting 475 people so its def gonna add up for us... ughhhhh
