Looking for ideas on bouquets and decorations for our wedding?!?

we have chosen wild orchid and ice blue for our wedding colors but does anyone have any ideas on what other colors and/or flowers to use in all of the bridesmaids(and my)bouquets(the bridesmaides will be wearing wild orchid dresses)? also looking for ideas on decorations to use for the reception hall using thease colors and maybe a couple of accent colors?!thank to all who answer!!!

Reply:I would include a color in the butter/cream range for the bouquets. An additional accent color may be silver to compliment the ice bule. Congrats!!
Reply:yellow, purple(lavendar), white. with the wild orchad and the ice blue... awe that would be beautiful... hydrangea is a great filler. it takes up alot of space so you don't have wholes.



If you get some cute vases you could put flowers from the bouqets in them for the tables or just use floating candles. That is very simple.

It really depends on how formal you're going to be. I've helped do some really cute country settings with tin watering cans with flowers flowing out and tin flower baskets on the tables (gifts for the wedding party) That is the cheapest way to make one item become two is to make your center pieces your wedding party gifts.

I've seen wine glasses on the tables for each guest with that canned whipped topping in them. layer them with chocolate - vanilla - chocolate then add chocolate or white chocolate shavings on top. You can do every over one the opposite layered effect, it is relatively cheap. It may even come in strawberry so you can have the pink color. You can get the plastic wine glasses. Your guest will eat it on the down time when your doing other things or waiting for you to get there. There was another wedding that they ordered candies in the colors of the wedding. I think they had skittles and m %26amp; m's they were able to get just the colors they needed. Not sure how. I know you can get jelly beans in almost any color. That would be cute on the tables in a glass bowl with a flower ring around them.

Really anything is game. It's your wedding and you can do anything you want.
Reply:If the girls dress have wild orchids on them I wouldn't use flowers for their bouquets. I would use a brandy snifer class with a lit votive in the center. As for your bouquet, I would use maybe 2-3 stems of colored orchids with baby breath tied together with a ribbon that matches. The reception, I would use brandy sniffer classes with either a floating candle, a single orchid or a votive lit in them. I would also suggest finding balloons and carnations that can be colored to match ice blue, white, pink or even yellow. If you want ice blue dipped carnations in your bouquet with the orchids that would be okay. Also, use them in surrounding flowers as well. Hope it helps. Good Luck!
