i have to have pink (or some bright color to accent) in my wedding! and i dont like the pastel pink...i know most say to do white/ivory calla lillies or something but..i just need some color!

Reception: white chairs, black tablecloths, somehow incorporate the gerber daisies and candles...need major help w/ this! Want cupcakes..black and white??!

Black and white wedding yay!..but help?
I love the idea of a black and ivory wedding.

If you are wearing an ivory dress, I would probably stick with ivory sashes on the bridesmaids and black ties on the groomsmen. If you are going to be using silver accents you definitely need to put the silver next to the ivory dress. Ivory adn silver don't always go together well.

The hot pink flowers will be a beautiful accent color to the ivory and black. The color of the flowers could be your main accent color for invitations, ribbons and other decorations. I would contact a local florist to find out what kind of hot pink flower is in season for an October wedding.

I LOVE the cupcake idea! Talk to the bakery and find out what options that they have for the frosting. If they can do black and white or ivory, go for that with an accent that matches the flowers!

Good luck!!
Reply:Ok good job on picking your colors! It will be gorgeous with the colorful flowers! Please don't make your hubby wear a black shirt with his black tux....but everything else sounds great! The reception tables will come together once you have picked your location (have you done that yet?) and it depends on if you are having round or rectangular tables....love the cupcake ideas! Are you doing that instead of a cake or are you doing that as favors? I think either way will be cute! Hope this helps and congratulations!
Reply:Bridesmaids - If you have a contrast sash, make it cream; don't add silver. And under no circumstances should they have silver shoes. You start adding color here and there and they look spotted. Let your color be the hot pink you're talking about - it'll pop in the ceremony and the photos, as it should.

Cup cakes could be chocolate with white icing and white with chocolate icing - don't try to do black icing as it takes so much paste color that you get a fairly nasty taste from it.

Put your table centerpieces on a round mirror and place at least 4 candle holders around them; you'll get nice reflection because of the mirror. Use hot pink napkins to match the pink gerbers. Let that be the only touch of color on the tables.
Reply:Very cute you could get black %26amp; white frosting on your cupcakes or some bakeries put edible pictures of you 2 on the cupcake so you could do it in black and white.
Reply:Great colors, great ideas all around. Hot pink gerber daisies, black suits, ivory shirts, silver ites for men wow, you are going to have a great wedding. The best of luck to you now and in the future. P.S. Make the brides maid dresses have a silver sashes.
Reply:black and white frosting yeah!
Reply:I would stay away from silver if you have an ivory dress. I think golds or creams would suit better. But it all sounds lovely. My husband wore all white except for the pants and jacket - it looks fine!
Reply:All the guys in black shirts, ivory tie for hubby to be, silver tie for groomsmen, silver sash for bridesmaids. Or . . . you could do a hot pink sash on the bridesmaids, hot pink ties for the groomsmen, hot pink laces in the converse shoes, all hot pink gerber daisies make sure they are the ones with the black centers, stick to one color it will look better.

Tables all black, chairs white with a pink sash

Center pieces: vases filles with black river rock and 5 hot pink gerbaera daisies in each vase, no filler, the simplicity of it is very modern. Tea lights around the bases.

Reply:You: Cool choice, I have always like ivory wedding gowns

Bridesmaids: ivory or silver sash? Depends on if you are having the groomsmen wear the silver tie. black or silver shoes? Black if they are buying them, because that way they can wear them a lot again, where as silver they could possibly be limited.

Groomsmen: black suits/ivory shirts/black or silver ties? I would say black, because that is my taste, but if you are paying either would work. If they are paying, black for sure.

Hubby2Be: black tux/ivory shirt,vest,tie...is this too much ivory? should he wear a black shirt? I have always loves the lotsa black look, but I am like the only one... most people feel there is never too much ivory.

Flowers: bridesmaids with fuschia or hot pink gerber daises (hand tied) w/ black + silver ribbon AND me with fuschia and ivory gerber daisies - I have never been much for fuschia and silver together, but I do love the fuschia colored flowers for a spark of color!

Reception: Cupcakes could be black and white AND fushia... that would be fun.
