Wedding Help Please?

I'm having a black and white wedding, with red as an accent color. I'm having it in April 08. My dress is black %26amp; white, the bridesmaids are black w/ red trimming, the cake is black and white and the flowers are roses. I'm just wanting some ideas for decor (church %26amp;/or reception), and I'm not sure what I want for food either. It's between sub sandwhiches displayed on platters w/ chips, nuts etc or having appetizers or even having a couple different food stations. My mom and dad are helping some but we are still trying to look great with not a lot of money to do it with. All ideas welcome. Thanks!!

Why don't you go with a "champagne and desserts" menu. Skip the sandwiches altogether. Serve champagne for a toast, provide cake, and a chocolate fountain to dip fruit in, maybe inexpensive pies, cookies, etc. coffee and tea.
Reply:Have a buffet dinner for your guests. It doesn't cost much to have roast beef, ham or turkey; a variety of salads, some sort of hot potato, mixed veggies, etc.
Reply:why dont you try to have some ballons for decoration.white and red ballons all over the place is great and cost less.Put balloons in the church..in the main entrance.Or maybe an arch or pillar balloons.Dont hire a balloon artist. you can make it by your self or your relatives and friends one day ahead.Explore the net on how to make a balloon pilar or arch.A bubble machine will be great too.I dont know how much you can rent a bubble machine there in your country but here its cheap.Put it in the entrance too.It will add a drama .You can also use it in your first dance as a husband and wife.Have some dim light a bubbles and balloons on the floor and it will end well.A memory you can keep for a lifetime.

Or maybe you can buy your own machine..You can use it in other occasion like birthday parties of your soon little angels.

Reply:Try balloons and streamers. or something along that line, its cheap, and still pretty. You can put streamers (blak and red. or red/white, or even all three, and twist them together, so they all intermingle, and go down the top of the table, in the center (it looks really pretty) and then put balloons on the sides of the pews instead of bows, or on the receptions, hang balloons off the streamer
Reply:what ever way your going to do it it sounds like you going to have a brillant day. maybe have abit of everything as well and for the food stations sounds brillant and its a way for ppl to mingle durning the great day.
