Wedding Day sooooooo Soon!!!?

I am getting married on July 19, 2008. I bought the dress, got the rings, and the bridesmaid dresses. I have a couple of questions:

1. The bridesmaids dresses are Pink and there shoes are silver. Should I get the guys vests to be baby pink or silver or just plain white?

2. I havent decided on flowers yet. I was thinking pink lillies and pink roses. Is this too much pink??

3. I was thinking a rose bouquet for me, a rose/lilly boquet for my MOH and just lillies for my bridesmaids. what do you think?

Keeping in mind that this is a garden wedding (my moms backyard) with about 70 people, but then we are having a big reception at a hall. So, really i cant go too casual or too conservative.

When I ask people I know these questions, they all say its personal preferance. Im really sick of hearing it honestly...lol. So, some feedback would be GREAT!!!

Thanks

Wedding Day sooooooo Soon!!!?
I would get the guys vest silver. That would look good. I love your idea of bouquets. Sounds beautiful the way you have picked it out. No, that is not too much pink. That is the color you have chosen. You can have all the pink you want.
Reply:I get married soon too! June 27th in fact. Crazy busy right now isnt it???

I think Pink vests for the guys would be good. Usually the vests are whatever color you are doing for the wedding, or the color that matches the girls. If silver isnt super prominent, I wouldnt do that for vests.

Lillies and roses are good for flowers, if it's the color for your wedding, you cant have too much of it, lol. Pink Gerbers would be pretty too!

Good idea on bouquets, that way your's is different from everyone elses and your MOH has a special one too.

Hope I helped, I think you have good ideas.
Reply:goood luck
Reply:1. White

2. No way! Pink is great for garden party theme.

3. That's a good idea, even though you should have the rose/lilly boquet, and MOH should have the roses.
Reply:1) Personally, I like when groomsmen compliment the bridesmaids rather than match exactly. I like the idea of having them in silver, which would compliment the girls' pink dresses nicely.

2) If you are wearing white, the pink would look nice. It might be too much pink if your bridesmaids are carrying only pink flowers.

3) That sounds great!

Good luck!
Reply:1. I would say white vests. with a pink orchid or rose butioneer I personally don't like colored vests. just my opinion though

2. I like them both. You could add some accent colors of orange gerbera daisies or yellow/cream tulips

3. that is a good idea too or you could have your MOH get a smaller version of your bouquet and the maids roses and lillies

If you have some accent colors to incorporate that would be great. Try not to overdo the pink unless you have different shades of pink. eg fushia, blush pink

your ideas sound great
Reply:1. Please don't make your man wear pink! Silver will look great and co-ordinate. How emasculating is it to make a guy wear pink on his wedding day, the one day of his life he has the most pictures of him taken.

2. You could do a white flower with pink tips/edges. I know they have carnation and mums like that, so I'm sure you could also get roses like that. Then it will still be pink, but have more white to even it out.

3. Roses are very traditional, it sounds like you are having a very traditional summer wedding, so it would totally fit.
Reply:i think that the men would prefer silver to pink, just my opinion though. Maybe instead of pink lilies, do white, so they stand out a little more. It all sounds like too much pink for my taste, but it does sound pretty!
Reply:1. Personally Im not a fan of the colored vests which are trendy now. I would do either black or white vests.

2. I love pink and used it in our wedding, too. But it can easily be "too much" as you said. I would do flowers in a pink thats darker than the dresses, and add some green to it.

3. I like one unified look for the flowers. So I would do either roses for everyone, or lillies for everyone, including you. Just have your bouquet slightly larger and a different color (white).
Reply:First off: CONGRATS!!! OK now comes the advice

1. I think you should go for silver with a pink rose attached as an accent and to match the theme of your day.

2. There is no such thing as too much pink at a garden wedding!

3. I love the flower choices for all of you, you may want to add some white roses and lillies in the bouquets for balance and to tie i with the silver. The colours will be pink and silver so that the white is like silver because there are no silver flowers!

I believe there is nothing better than getting help from people that don't have an agenda in the wedding.

I love the colours and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
Reply:1. silver vest and tie with white shirt?

2. pink lillies or pink roses with some white rorse or lillies and maybe some silber accents

3. rose/lilly bouquet for you, a roseboquet for the MOH and just lillies for the bridesmaids. you need the nicer one, after all you are the bride
Reply:Silver vests for sure. The rest sounds very beautiful. I am very sure u will make a beautiful bride. A garden wedding sounds very nice and elegant. Congrats and good luck.

2.pink roses and maybe some white roses

3.i think that will look wonderful

glad i good help!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:You are definitely running behind here, so I'm glad you got this list together for us to help.

Vest- go silver. It looks nice and the guys won't hate you later.

Flowers: If the girls are wearing pink, use a cream or yellow as primary and pink only as accents. Boutinneers should be pink as primary with small silver bow or ribbon. Bride Bouquet...as long as you are not wearing a pink dress, go pink with the silver highlight of ribbon, leaves, or tulle tufts. Don't go too big, keep it simple.

Flower choice: If you are going fresh, you need to get the order in now, if you can still find a florist. If making silk, you can do up to 7 days before wedding. I'd go with roses as your pink bouquet and all boutinneers. Bridesmaids and all others, I'd use cream or yellow carnations, with pink sweetheart roses, and the silver highlight of your choice.

If the roses are too expensive, switch to pink carnations. This saves a ton of money. If you decide to use the cream or yellow, be sure to tie in with the corsages and the groomsmen boutineers, but bride and groom can have just pink roses as a separation of who's who.

Hope this helps and here's to having a great wedding!
Reply:1. I would get their vests baby pink. it will look nicer in pictures. and the shoes are suck a little factor in everything. noone will really see the shoes, and wonder where the silver came from.

2. How about pink and white lillies? I think it would be so beautiful!!!! but its up to you!!! :)

3.I think that is a good idea!!! you should have pink and white roses though, instead of having all pink!

Good luck with everything! I hope your wedding turns out wonderful!!!!!!! :)
Reply:Congrats! I'm getting married July 20th!

I'd go with silver vests. Or ask your fiancé what he prefers. He might have an opinion. You got to pick your dress, so let him pick his tux.

Yeah... for the flowers that's a bit much pink. Try throwing some white or ivory roses in there with your pink lilies. Or some Stephanosis.

You could do hot pink gerbera daisies for your bouquet with some white roses? That might be pretty.
Reply:The way I would go since you asked:

1) you might have a hard time getting a group of guys to wear pink, so go with plain white

2)just make them different shades of pink. too much of the same shade makes it flat

3)you have it just right

have fun and hopes this helps
Reply:First off, congratulations on your wedding!!

Here are my opinions:

1. Pink for the vests

2. I don't think it's too much pink, but I would go with all white flowers. I did all white flowers at my wedding and it was so classic and beautiful.

3. I love the idea for your bouquets.....wouldn't change a thing, just make sure your bouquet is the biggest one. :)

Good luck!!
Reply:1. to my mind white only

2. regarding the bouquet for you - I think white and soft pink roses bouquet will be perfect like this one in the picture
