Going to a wedding at a church at 4:30pm and reception at hotel. My bf is an usher so he is wearing a tux. what should i wear? if i wore a dress with polka dots on it is that too much? or should it be plain colored?
also what about kids? can their dresses be too busy? like flowers or polka dots??
HELP!!
Wedding guest dress to busy?
Can you give a little more detail than polka dots?
It depends, you should take your cues from the bridesmaids dresses (length, material, color hue), If you dont know what those dresses look like, find of what the mothers of the bride/groom are wearing-- Are your shoulders covered (in a place of worship)
Kids usually have a little more leeway.
Reply:You should never ever show up a bride!
Having said that, a polka dot dress is probably fine, depending on how fancy the dress is. If it's a dress you would wear to a really fancy dinner then go for it. If you'd wear it to a prom, then don't. It should definitely be less fancy than the bridesmaids.
And, kids are kids. They are supposed to be cute. I suppose they shouldn't be fancier than the flower girl though.
Reply:If you are not in the ceremony, what you wear doesn't matter.
Reply:I would go dressy 'just because'. . . . . he's already in a tux, why not??
as for the children, why not dress them up too...
