I am thinking of Brown, Pink and Red?Any thoughts on this?

I have changed the colors around so much because I cant think of ways to make it all work! I was thinking brown for linens and pink and red for the flowers and the candles a mix of the three colors.

The girls dresses could be pink with brown accents and the guys could wear a vest with brown as the base and pink or red in the design?

I was just looking for some input on if other people would find this appealing or not. I know it is our day and that is what it will be but I dont want it to be tacky, so If you like it cool if not maybe some suggestions would help out!

I am thinking of a brown cake with red and pink flowers(fresh ones)

Wedding will be May 30,2009 and the reception will be at a hall with a garden setting and gazebo with a small fountain. Thanks All!

Since it will be a garden setting what about doing brown, green and pink or red? This way you can enhance the look of the garden by adding in a few green accents.

What about something like this?

I think that the brown and pink would look nice...but, if you are going to use red I say don't do anything overpowering with it. Maybe have a few red accents here and there, but keep the two main colors pink and brown...or, you could go with black, red and pink. I think that would go well together.

My suggestions is to look around for some supplies. See if you can get the supplies that you want in the colors that you want. It's very frustrating when you choose a color scheme, then have a hard time finding decorations.
Reply:emmm..no I don't like it.

I've thought up two interesting, yet highly workable color themes for weddings this year.

Navy, White and Yellow

Robin Egg Blue, Brown, And Irish Cream
Reply:Pink %26amp; Brown looks good together. I am not sure about the red.
Reply:Brown and Pink? Go for it, I LOVE it! The 2 colors really complimant one another
Reply:It's not brown and black that bothers me. I think that pink and red clash...like bad valentine's day candy.
Reply:PINK AND RED ARE HORRIBLE TOGETHER, STICK WITH JUST PINK %26amp; BROWN
Reply:this is why I went to Vegas. All that was handled for me
Reply:pink and brown would go a lot better. Drop the red. I'm doing pink and brown for my wedding, there are a lot of different options as far as favors, cakes and dresses that will go with this theme. One idea for cakes that I really like is the chocolate ganache covered cake with the pink dots then pink roses cascading down the side. Davids bridal has some dresses and as far as anything else you need just search in google and there's tons of ideas for whatever your looking for.
Reply:Just a tip since you are having trouble deciding. I couldn't decide either, but all the colors I did come up with, we couldn't find dresses for. So we went shopping for dresses and out of the dresses that we liked best, we picked the color. Then after the dresses were picked, we chose the accent colors.
Reply:I guarantee someone is going to say that brown and black will clash, but believe me it works fine. Just be sure to be set on a color soon. I kept changing my mind, and the reception didn't end up the way I wanted it because it was a mixture of all these different ideas I had.
Reply:I like the color pink and brown together! It's not tacky! I think it

s going to be beautiful!
Reply:I would like pink %26amp; red together, if it was just pink %26amp; red. I like Sassy Bride's suggestion of replacing the red with apple green for your Spring garden wedding.

I wouldn't add any type of design to the men's vest. Keep it simple with just a brown vest and no design. Also, I wouldn't do various colors with the candles. Use different colors for the flowers and one color for the candles...people will know by then what the colors are, try not to go overboard. It's ok to use just one or two of your colors in one particular aspect. You don't have to use all of your colors everywhere together.
Reply:Brown and pink goes well but I would leave the red out.
Reply:Hi....

First of all congratulations.....

Hey i would say that if the wedding is at night ..dont go for the colors like brown....

yes u can go for pink but dont go for the regular pink , go for the different shades of pink like fuschia, and also u can go for turqoise...that looks good too...after all its a big day..try to make it as much special as u can...

cheers
Reply:I think this could work, instead of a loud red try burgundy maybe. And I feel like you need a neutral color in there with the candles and linen, so do white or cream.

So tables - cream with brown over lay - flowers in burgundy and pink, maybe add some crystals in there too to reflect light.
